A one-page summary of the Bron Intents protocol. Read the linked docs for the complete on-chain reference.

What is Bron Intents?

Bron Intents is an open protocol that connects users with independent third-party solvers for peer-to-peer, on-chain swaps across blockchains. Bron does not hold or control assets, match orders, or execute transactions — users retain control of their funds until they authorise a transaction.

An intent (or order) is a request to swap an asset on one chain (the base) for an asset on another (the quote). The two terms are interchangeable: the smart contract calls it an order, the public API calls it an intent.

How a swap works

1
User creates a swap request
The user specifies the asset, amount, auction duration and other parameters from their non-custodial wallet.
2
Solvers submit quotes
During the auction window, independent solvers compete with quotes. The protocol automatically selects the best price.
3
User authorises on-chain
If satisfied with the price, the user authorises the transaction directly from their wallet. Oracles verify settlement on-chain.
4
Solver delivers the asset
The solver delivers on the destination chain, oracles verify delivery via quorum, and the swap completes.
